Welcome to The North Wall’s summer season! After a longer-than-usual winter, we’re pleased the announcement of our summer line-up coincides with the first few rays of sunshine. Here are a few highlights…
This May, we are delighted to present a brand new co-production with the double Fringe First award-winning Iron Shoes. Fragment is a new piece of gig-theatre with original songs composed by Kneehigh associate Dom Coyote. It’s a story that’s both heart-warming and heart-breaking; a story for everyone.
Fragment marks a new chapter in The North Wall’s ten year history, with a commitment to co-producing or producing at least one new production each year, with the aim of touring North Wall productions from 2019 onwards. We’re excited to be able to share new work made right here in Oxford with you.
This summer, we’ll be joined by two companies putting the final touches to their Edinburgh Fringe shows: Ad Infinutum’s No Kids, and a new musical Thor and Loki by comedy cabaret act House of Blakewell. Don’t miss your chance to see these shows in preview before they head north.
We’ll also be welcoming The Wardrobe Ensemble back to The North Wall after their sold out run of Education Education Education last year. The company will be heading up our Summer ArtsLab residency, where young artists will have the rare opportunity of developing a new show with these inspirational theatre-makers, currently associates of Complicite. Be the first to see this work in progress in August.
