It’s National Volunteers Week, so here at the North Wall we’re taking the opportunity to shout about our amazing volunteers, who are integral to making live performances happen at the venue.
The North Wall operates with a small team of staff. Volunteers therefore are essential to our day-to-day running of events in the theatre, and we couldn’t manage without them. They are the first people who our visitors see when they walk through our doors, and help create a welcoming environment, ensuring every audience member feels safe and well looked after.
We are very lucky to have a great team of volunteers who are on hand to help but we are always looking to welcome new people. If you are enthusiastic and passionate about the arts then we would love to hear from you. Whether you’re interested in stewarding, fancy yourself as a bartender for the night, or an ice cream seller during the interval, we have a role suited for you. In return, you’ll get to watch the show for free, and hopefully meet some lovely new people along the way.
We have adapted our front-of-house procedures to ensure the health and safety of both our audience members and volunteers in a number of ways, including putting in place social distancing measures and providing PPE.
