We believe that art should be accessible to all, regardless of background or income, and we try to remove as many barriers as we can that may prevent young people from taking part in our workshops and masterclasses.
We offer a limited number of free places – which we call bursary places – for each of NW Inventors and YouthLab workshops and masterclasses, as well as transport costs if needed. We support young people and families in this way for a number of reasons, including families with low-income households, young carers interested in the arts, looked after children in foster care or in the care of their local authority, and young people whose lives are disrupted who would benefit from accessing a youth group.
Our bursary places are awarded on a first come, first served basis, and are not means tested, but it helps us to continue this offer if you are able to tell us why a bursary place would be useful for you. This enables us to continue our own fundraising to ensure that bursary places are available for all of our future projects.
If you would like to apply for a bursary place or travel contributions on any of our workshops or masterclasses, please contact Abie on waltona@thenorthwall.com
