SUPERREAL
Performance: 2.45 – 3.45pm
Alex is running away from everything. Rent, decisions, Milton Keynes.
Things are getting desperate, but when Alex gets lost in the never-ending nightclub by the railway station they discover a way out through a rabbit hole. As they tread the dangerous boundary between fantasy and reality, Alex must confront the scaffolding that holds up the world we live in. More painfully, they’ll have to confront themselves.
A musical rollercoaster, SUPERREAL is a spectacular new spin on the Lewis Carroll classic that asks big questions about gender identities, finding freedom and turning the world upside down. North Wall Creative Associate’s GOYA present work-in-progress sharing of a musical fantasia on queer themes.
Roann Hassani McCloskey: Who Murdered My Cat?
Performance: 6.30 – 7.30pm
BBC Writers room and popcorn prize shortlisted, Who Murdered My Cat? is back.
Multi award winning story-teller Roann Hassani McCloskey returns with her hilarious and inquisitive approach to comedy. Following sell-out shows at Vault Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, Soho Theatre and touring the UK, Roann is over-sharing once again.
Not from the makers of Making a Murderer. Also not from the makers of Kidnapped in Plain Sight. How did Roann’s cat getting murdered make her want to delve into her past? Why do her memories leave her with so many questions? And questionable memories? All her family members are back in force in her second show, now with pets.
“Ask her to read a train timetable and she’d have her audience in stitches“. British Theatre Guide
