Adventure to Cutteslowe Park where you can admire a magical lantern display, make your own shadow puppets, listen to music, groove in the family dance party, take a selfie with a giant Santa and more! The Cutteslowe Light Trail is free to attend, but you do need to book your place for the Family Dance Party and SeedHeart at The North Wall. All other activities are drop in and managed on a first-come-first-served basis. With plenty to do and see, this family friendly event will be an evening to remember.
The Cutteslowe Light Trail is a self-led adventure – performances and activities are scheduled throughout the afternoon and evening:
- SeedHeart at The North Wall – book tickets to this shadow theatre performance here (please note this event is at The North Wall, not in Cutteslowe Park)
- Family Dance Party – book a place for this family dance party here
- Tam Frishberg Ceramics: All of Tam’s pieces are thrown on the wheel. Tam uses stoneware clay which is fired to a very high temperature and stands up well to use. Tam welcomes visitors to her home studio here near the park and will have a stall showcasing and selling her work.
- Shadow Puppet Theatre Tent – Have a go at creating your own shadow theatre!
- Craft Tent – Make your own puppets.
- Beautifully Illuminated Miniature Railway – watch the twinkling train trundle along the tracks.
- Music – Soak up the sounds of the night.
How to Find Us
We recommend that adventurers come via Holt Weer Close (A40 Car Park end) as this is the most illuminated path into the park. If you are coming via Harbord Road, it will be very dark.
Please consider the environment and cycle, bus or walk if you can.
Help us light up the park!
We’re looking for volunteers to make this magical community event happen at the following times:
- 12pm – 4pm / Set-Up
- 4pm – 7pm / Stewarding
- 7pm – 9pm / Take Down
To sign up, please complete this form.
