It’s 1968, the height of the world-wide student revolt. David is 20. The Vietnam war rages. Martin Luther King is assassinated. These events will define David’s politics, his writing, and his life.
50 years on, in his professional performing debut, David is confronted by his 20-year-old self. Do they still share the same beliefs? Is it the world that’s changed, or him? Has he sold in or sold out? And why did his generation vote Brexit?
David Edgar’s plays have been presented by the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
