YouthLab: Found Stories, Found Theatre Workshop

Found Stories, Found Theatre is a theatre-making and story-telling workshop. During this 2-hour workshop, participants will explore archival stories and hidden histories through devising and physical theatre methods. The stimulus for the creation session will be an archive library: a set of archive packs created by writer and historian Lily Sheldon. Each archive pack will spotlight a historical LGBTQ+ figure with a connection to Oxfordshire.

This workshop aims to allow participants to develop a sense of involvement and agency in a theatre-making process, explore devising and physical theatre-making techniques, understand of the power of theatre to explore social issues, further their knowledge of Queer history and the power of archives and make connections and friendships with individuals in creative and Queer communities.

For ages 14 -18

Found Stories, Found Theatre is developed and led by the core members of Found Theatre: Costi Levy, Rosa Chalfen, Luis Almonacid and Lily Sheldon. We are a group of emerging, professional theatre-makers and facilitators committed to finding, telling and exploring powerful stories through community workshops and theatre productions.
